Six HLS students chosen for Governor’s Scholars and two chosen for Governor’s School for the Arts

Congratulations to six Highlands Latin juniors who were accepted to the 2014 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program. The Governor’s Scholars Program is Kentucky’s most prestigious summer, liberal arts program for rising seniors. Gymnasium Plans for Spring Meadows Campus

Preliminary plans for the new Highlands Latin gym at Spring Meadows are below.  The gym can be used as a single high school basketball court with seating for up to 600 or two side by side elementary school courts. New Baseball Field at Highlands Latin School

Highlands Latin hosted its first baseball game April 12th on our new field at Spring Meadows.   The team played well, and it was a beautiful spring day for a baseball game.  Construction of this field involved hauling in nearly 1000 truck loads of fill dirt, blasting hundreds of yards of rock into a hillside, and building back a stone amphitheater.  The […]

Highlands Latin 12th Grade Multicopter Competition

Objective: Build a multicopter from individual components using a programmable board (e.g. arduino) and complete a series of tasks for points. The team with the most points wins.
