Congratulations to six Highlands Latin juniors who were accepted to the 2014 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program. The Governor’s Scholars Program is Kentucky’s most prestigious summer, liberal arts program for rising seniors. We would like to congratulate Ed Boomershine and Andrew Thibaudeau, who were selected to attend the 2014 Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts, and Laura Callihan (already famous for her Science Olympiad boomilevers), who was chosen as an alternate. GSA provides opportunities for the state’s most talented dancers, actors, instrumental and vocal musicians, creative writers, future architects, and visual artists to attend a challenging summer residential art program. Governor’s School for the Arts, like Governor’s Scholars, is free for those students who are selected.
