Summer Reading Challenge: Students who complete this journal by the first day of school will be recognized with a certificate at morning assembly.

Summer Reading Challenge Instructions Supplemental Reading lists
Latin Vocabulary Practice: Using your Latin flashcards, drill all the vocabulary you have learned so far. Devote more practice to difficult words. In addition to saying the words, write them down for varied practice. A short quiz will be given in the first week of school.
 
HLS families can also use a coupon code to access the Latin flashcards in the Memoria Press mobile app. The following are instructions for using the Memoria Press mobile app for Latin flashcard review:
 
  1. Login to your account at MemoriaPress.com using your main contact email on file with HLS (the email used for weekly Parent Newsletters). If you do not have an account, skip to step 2.
  2. Place an order for the flashcard set corresponding to your student’s level:
    1. Rising 3rd: Prima Latina Flashcards
    2. Rising 4th: Latina Christiana Flashcards
    3. Rising 5th–8th: Latin Forms Series
    4. Rising 9th–12th: Henle Latin Series
  3. When finalizing your order, use the coupon code hlsflash and enter the main contact email on file with HLS.
  4. Download the Memoria Press mobile app (iOS or Android) and log in with your MemoriaPress.com account. Flashcards are only usable in the app, not a browser.
