Required Summer Reading

Summer Reading:

Grade 1 – Each student received a My 100 Days of Summer Reading Challenge Journal to complete along with a suggested book list. Students who complete this journal by the first day of school will be recognized with a certificate at an Opening Assembly in September.

Grades 2 and 3 – Each student received a summer reading journal that may be turned in to his or her classroom teacher on the first day of school. Specific instructions and book recommendations were included with the journal.

Grades 4-7 – Story of the World books were sent home.  Students will return these books to school in the fall. All other books need to be purchased.

*Story of the World books will be provided by HLS. Please return them to school in the fall. Students should be prepared for a class book discussion and simple quiz over the assigned reading during the first week of school.
