A Midsummer Night's Dream

“With pomp, with triumph, and with revelling,” the Highlands Latin School Drama Troupe invites you to experience Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream! To say that “the course of true love never did run smooth” is quite an understatement for all of the shenanigans that play out in this dream world. This is Highlands Latin Drama Troupe’s first Shakespeare performance, and the students refused to do anything less than the original script. You will be impressed by the show if only to applaud the work each student has invested into memorizing many, many lines of script. We wanted it to be authentic but new. The question we have often asked is: “Would Shakespeare approve?” With big smiles, the students believe he would have said “yes” to every choice we have made in putting together this performance. We hope all who attend approve as well, but

“If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended:
That you have but slumber’d here
While these visions did appear.”
