Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Louisville Highlands Latin Cottage School.
The Cottage School is located on the Spring Meadows campus of the full-time Highlands Latin School in Louisville, Kentucky. Classes take place on Mondays (all grade levels) and Fridays for grades 7+ only. We offer a traditional classroom experience in a hybrid model. We currently offer all-day Monday programs for grades K, 1, 2, 3 and 4. Our remaining classes are offered in à-la-carte fashion. Courses offered include Latin, Classical Studies, Literature, Composition, Logic, Math, Science and more. Please review our Course Offerings found here for more details. We use Memoria Press curriculum in our classrooms.
The Cottage School faculty is largely made up of HLS full-time teachers and class size is kept to a minimum (on average 12-15 students). Concentrated instruction is provided during class lectures with daily at-home work completed based upon teachers’ assignments and recommendations. Parents support student learning and reinforcement of content at home. Our teachers are excellent at what they do, and strive to support the families that we serve.

Thank you for your interest in Highlands Latin Cottage School! Our upcoming Open House Dates are:

To attend an Open House tour, we ask you to register here.
Open House tours begin at 9:00am and consist of an overview of the Cottage School by the Principal, Mrs. Mariah Frantz. This is followed by a time of Q&A and a tour of the campus. Most Open House tours last about an hour.

that classes may have waitlists soon after applications are accepted. New families must have attended an Open House Tour within 12 months of submitting an application.
